GENERAL INFO:
Campers
will be registered on a first come first serve
basis. We encourage you to have your registrations in as soon as
possible or we cannot guarantee a space for your child. Please try to
make your summer plans as soon as possible so that your child is not
put on a waiting list.
It may not be possible to place large groups of children in the same
cabin, especially if there are large age differences. However, we will
try our best, and we guarantee to place each child with at least one
companion of his or her choice.
Camp Lu Lay Lea accepts all campers age 8-14, without discrimination
based on race, color, creed or national origin. Campers cannot be over
the age of 14 when attending camp. Please be sure to fill out the
health history on the reverse side of the application as completely as
possible. Be sure to include your health insurance company and policy
number. It would be helpful if you could also send a photocopy of your
insurance policy card.
DEPOSIT:
Each registration requires a $50 deposit, $35 of which is refundable up to one week before the camping session. The total fee for the regular full week is $205.
CHECKING INTO CAMP:
You may register anytime from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday afternoon. If you MUST register earlier than this, please call us the week before so we can be sure to be ready for your early registration. During the registration time you pay your remaining camp fee and deposit store money into your camper’s store account. You will also take care of any health concerns at this time. Many families arrive for the church service at 12:30 a.m. in our chapel. Take note, there is no time between chapel and check in this year!! Please eat lunch ahead of time! The first meal to be served on Sunday will be Dinner. (NEW MENU THIS YEAR!)
MEDICATIONS AND MEDICAL COVERAGE:
All medications must be in the original prescription bottles with specific instructions written out. Medications are collected and reviewed with the health director during registration. In case of a medical emergency, parents will be notified and we will place your child under the care of the physicians at the West Branch Hospital. The phone # is: 989-345-3660. We must have your medical insurance company, number, and the camper’s social security number for hospital use. A copy of your insurance card is the best way to do this and you may attach it to your registration or bring it to camp with you.
CAMP STORE:
The camp runs a small store which sells candy, pop, water, and shirts to campers and parents. The store is open on Sundays during registration and Saturdays during check-out. It is also open twice a day during the week for the campers. A maximum of $20.00 is allowed for each camper to be put in their account at the beginning of the week. The balance of their account will be refunded to them at check-out. Please note that T-shirts ($10) must be pre-ordered when you send in your application. DVDs ($5) will be available for purchase on saturday at check-out.
